‘Cash For Clunkers’ has officially passed congress and Reuther Ford is ready as Jefferson County’s Distribution Center for ‘Cash for Clunkers’ vehicles. Here’s how to trade that old vehicle in for $4,500 cash towards your new Ford:

Your potential ”clunker” MUST:

• Be driveable.
• Be continuously insured by the same owner for 1 year.
• Have a combined fuel economy of LESS THAN 18 mpg.
• They say work trucks must be pre-2002 no matter what. Scroll to the bottom to read about the special work-truck provision!

All clunkers must be SCRAPPED and a certificate of destruction presented to the government. The US Government has directed Reuthers to send all clunkers out for destruction. However, if your clunker is worth more than the $4,500 voucher, we can help you!

Is my car a qualifying ’clunker’?

Reuther Ford in partnership with Ford has a website that has a vehicle database for models that have an average fuel economy of 18 mpg or less and for which at least one of the styles of that vehicle has a current average national trade‐in  price (assuming clean vehicle condition and average mileage) of $4,500 or less.
